German publishing houses Eichborn and Achterbahn have joined forces to launch a company specialising in the devising and marketing of music for national and international feature films, TV productions and commercials.

Double Fun will be managed by co-shareholders music consultant Andreas Kirnberger (Conception and Production) and media lawyer Steven A. Reich (Legal and Business Affairs, Publishing) as well as Achterbahn's Lutz W Bienek (Organisation, Finances).

The company will incorporate Kirnberger's own consultancy Double Fun Music for Motion Pictures, which has been operating in the film and TV industry since 1996, and Reich's music publishing company which handles the administration of music publishing rights for film producers, broadcasters, media funds and foreign publishers with the focus on film scores.

Meanwhile In the UK, a new online production music venture has been launched, enabling film and TV producers to access and compare the music libraries of some of the largest production music companies from a single platform.

The web-based venture, operating as KPM Online (http://www.kpmmusiconline.com) is a scheme developed between music publishers KPM, Bruton, Extreme, Chappell, Kosinus, Music House, FirstCom, Galerie and Directors Cuts.

Available free of charge to broadcasters, facility houses and production companies, the search engine allows registered users to instantly search, compare and download over 700 hours of broadcast-quality music tracks.
