And Tom, quite a few UK distributors regularly receive European subsidies to help promote (ie reduce the financial risk) UK and 'European' films in the UK market.
Interesting points Tom. But surely the reason a European partner can invest in a film with a British co-producer is because the film qualifies as 'European', whether via an official treaty or non official co-production. Once we Brexit, that will no longer be the case.

So sad... I watched the Sopranos entire series 4 times... James was awesome in that... and in many ways, lead the whole 'TV is the new film thing'... he'll be missed... :(
