Myriad Pictures has picked up international sales rights to the comic thriller Salvation Boulevard starring Pierce Brosnan and Ed Harris.

Production is set to begin in New Mexico in March on the project, the first to go under the auspices of Mandalay Entertainment Group’s new financing unit Mandalay Vision.

George Ratliff is directing from Larry Beinhart’s novel of the same name about a born-again Christian on the run from fundamentalist members of his church who will stop at nothing to protect their pastor. Jim Gaffigan also stars. Cathy Schulman and Mandalay Vision head Celine Rattray are producing.

“We loved George Ratliff’s previous film Joshua and are excited that he brought together this extraordinary group of actors to bring Larry Beinhart’s book to the big screen,” Myriad chief Kirk D’Amico said.

Salvation Boulevardis Myriad’s fourth major acquisition this year following Josh Radnor’s Sundance crowd pleaser happythankyoumoreplease, thriller Notre Dame De Grace starring Scott Speedman and Jay Baruchel, and comedy Every Day, starring Liev Schreiber, Helen Hunt, Carla Gugino and Eddie Izzard.

The EFM slate includes: Main Street starring Colin Firth, Orlando Bloom, Amber Tamblyn, Patricia Clarkson and Ellen Burstyn; caper The Con Artist with Donald Sutherland, Rossif Sutherland, Rebecca Romijn and Sarah Roemer; Sebastian Gutierrez’s drama Women In Trouble; and animated feature Dino Mom produced by South Korea’s Toiion Inc, Motif and CJ Entertainment.
