Milla Jovovich is in advanced negotiations to star as a sorceress in Myriad Pictures’ fantasy adventure based on short stories from the creator of Game Of Thrones.

Myriad will handle worldwide sales on the film and introduces the project to buyers at the EFM this week.

Justin Chatwin will also star for German director Constantin Werner in the German-Canadian co-production that is lined up for a fourth quarter shoot in Germany.

In The Lost Lands weaves a series of magical and fantastic tales centering on a sorceress in search of a spell, a warrior girl on a quest and a young barbarian who encounters a witch in a spacecraft.

The project is adapted from short stories by George R R Martin, whose A Song Of Ice And Fire novels HBO adapted into Game Of Thrones.

Steve Hoban produces alongside Oliver Luer and Nico Bruinsma. Myriad chief Kirk D’Amico will serve as an executive producer.

“We are very excited to have Milla join this unique project from the creator of Game Of Thrones,” said D’Amico. “We think that Milla’s character is destined to become an iconic cinematic figure. We are also excited to bring this epic fantasy project to audiences on a wide release basis around the world.”
