Myriad Pictures has acquired worldwide rights outside Australia and New Zealand to Little Fish, the second film from Rowan Woods whose debut The Boys was one of the biggest Australian hits of 1998.

The film is produced by Porchlight Films' Vincent Sheehan (Mullet) and will be executive produced by Myriad president Kirk D'Amico and head of international production Marion Pilowsky.

Set in Sydney's Little Saigon, the film is the story of an ex-heroin addict struggling to escape her criminal brother and ex-boyfriend who joins them in an ill-fated plan. The film is scheduled to begin shooting on location in Sydney during the first half of 2004 with casting currently underway.

Pilowsky was involved with The Boys through her previous job as production chief at pay-TV outfit Premium Movie Partnership in Australia.
