Santa Monica-based Myriad Pictures has come on board to sell Life Partners starring Leighton Meester [pictured], Gillian Jacobs and Adam Brody.

Susanna Fogel makes her feature directorial debut from a screenplay she co-wrote with Joni Lefkowitz. 

Gabourey Sidibe, Abby Elliott and Beth Dover also star in the story of a Type-A woman who makes a pact with her lesbian friend that she will not get married until gay people are granted equal marital rights.

Jordana Mollick and Brendan Bragg of Black Sheep Management & Productions are producing with Riva Marker and Daniela Taplin Lundberg. 

Daniel Crown will serve as executive producer with Anne O’Shea of Minerva Productions and Peter Touche of Sandia Media. 

Myriad CEO Kirk Kirk D’Amico and svp of legal and business affairs David Ducar negotiated the deal for the company.

“This is a timely and delightful comedy, which explores contemporary friendships between women as they cope with the modern world,” said D’Amico. “We are so pleased to be working with everyone involved in making this film.”

UTA Independent Film Group and WME Global’s Graham Taylor and Mark Ankner will jointly represent US rights.
