Continuing a move into TV distribution, Myriad Pictures has beenretained as international sales agent on the telefilms American Meltdown for ApolloScreen and Evel for sister company ApolloProScreen.

American Meltdown is set for broadcast on the FX Network this summer and tells thestory of a gang of ex-US Marines who commandeer a nuclear power station inCalifornia to expose America's vulnerability after 9/11.

The in-production thriller is a collaboration between ApolloScreenand Craig Anderson Productions and stars Bruce Greenwood, Leslie Hope, JamesRemar and Arnold Vosloo.

Jeremiah Chechik directed and the telefilm is being produced byStephen Lillis and Jan Korbelin and executive produced by Craig Anderson andBeth Grossbard.

Evelstars George Eads as the legendary motorcycle daredevil Evel Knievel and thestory charts the stuntman's rise to fame culminating in his attemptedquarter-mile jump across the Snake River Canyon in Idaho.

The project is scheduled to begin principal photography in Apriland will be directed by John Badham. Mel Gibson, Bruce Davey, Michael Jaffe,Howard Braunstein and Jan Korbelin will serve as executive producers.

ApolloProScreenhas teamed up with Icon Productions and Jaffe/Braunstein Films for the project,which will air on TNT.
