The former Voltage Pictures senior executive arrives on May 3 as president of international sales and distribution and will get to work on a Cannes slate that includes the Sin City and Machete sequels.

De Barros will be responsible for sales and acquisitions and will source product for financing and serve as executive producer. She most recently served as vp of sales and acquisitions at Voltage.

Earlier this week Aldamisa International co-chairs and co-CEOs Sergei Bespalov and Marina Bespalov announced that Hausfater had been appointed COO at the ambitious operation.

“I’m very excited about this opportunity to acquire and develop independent films on behalf of Aldamisa,” de Barros said. “It will be a great pleasure to work with Sergei, Marina and Jere on launching this robust young company and helping to make it a global success.”

In a joint statement the Bespalovs said, “Nadine’s international background and track record at acquiring and selling top-notch films will be a huge asset to Aldamisa as we grow. We are looking forward to working with her.”

“I am very pleased that Nadine will be on board as we arrive in Cannes next month,” Hausfater added. “Her experience, judgment and relationships, as well as her work ethic, will make her a great addition to the Aldamisa team.”

Prior to her tenure at Voltage, de Barros worked in the marketing department at Summit and in the sales departments of Crystal Sky Worldwide and Dream Entertainment. She began her career in acquisitions in France.

Aldamisa International’s Cannes slate includes Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, Machete Kills and the untitled Renny Harlin thriller that just wrapped production in Russia.
