Bridget Jones -- The EdgeOf Reason continues to show greatresilience in New Zealand. For the fourth consecutive weekend it has lead thechart, helped by being on more screens then any other film. It grossedNZ$270,540 from 65 screens for UIP.

Using the measure of screenaverage, however, it was beaten by both the second and third titles. TheGrudge, in its second weekend for Roadshow, grossed NZ$197,126 from 32screens, and Team America - World Police opened with a gross ofNZ$167,536 from 29 screens for UIP. These results equated to screen averages ofNZ$6,160 and NZ$5,777 respectively, compared to Bridget Jones' NZ$4,162.

There were three other newfaces in the top 20 besides Team America. Ella Enchanted clocked uprevenues of NZ$81,627 from 32 screens for BVI to claim seventh spot and in thenext spot down was The Motorcycle Diaries, which took NZ$37,956 fromjust eight screens on previews for Dendy. Just scraping into the top 10 was Sleepover,which grossed NZ$23,393 for 20th Century Fox.

The film that has been inthe charts longer than any other is Touching The Void. After animpressive 17 weeks in cinemas it has taken NZ$762,755 for Hopscotch.
