The Abu Dhabi based production company will use the talent website to cast its first Emirati project, Sea Shadow.
Imagenation Abu Dhabi has announced the launch of EmiratiFilmStar.Com, an online portal designed to tap into the region’s acting talent.
Emiratis and Arab expatriates in the UAE are invited to register on the site, where they will be added to a database of actors from which Imagenation Abu Dhabi casting directors can search for new as well as established faces.
The production company is hoping to use the site to cast its first Emirati feature Sea Shadow. Other films on the slate include Million’s Poet, Djinn, Alaska, Monsoonand Alisand Aishas.
Imagenation Abu Dhabi is a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Media Company and has formed international partnerships with a number of producers.
On the launch of the new website, Stefan Brunner, COO Imagenation Abu Dhabi said “It is our intention to encourage and support fully those individuals with natural acting ability, in order to ensure that both on and off screen the standards are best-in-class”.
The site is live from today (June 22) and will be available in both English and Arabic.
