Staff at the Location Managers Guild Of America (LMGA) have announced the winners of its first Annual Location Managers Guild Of America Awards.

Ilt Jones won Outstanding Achievement By A Location Professional – Feature Film for Iron Man 3, while Robert Boake won corresponding TV honours for Game Of Thrones.

The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty took the award for Outstanding Location Feature Film and once again Game Of Thrones prevailed in the TV category.

The prize for Outstanding Film Commission went to Albuquerque, which has hosted Breaking Bad and Lone Survivor, among others.

LMGA president Nancy Haecker presided over the ceremony as Academy president Cheryl Boone Isaacs presented Alexander Payne with the Eva Monley Award for his “dedicated understanding of the power of quality locations to enhance a story.”

Payne is currently filming at a quality location and was unable to attend the ceremony.

Cinematogrpher Haskell Wexler received the Humanitarian Award from Billy Crystal, while the Lifetime Achievement Award went to commercial location scout Scott Dewees.

Director of the Inland Empire Film Commission Sheri Davis received the Trailblazer Award.

The awards were presented by the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward Office of Film & Entertainment.
