The Fair Market Value filmmaker will steer Fulton Street Entertainment’s adaptation of the coming-of-age novel.

Kevin Arbouet (pictured) is to direct an adaption of coming-of-age novel Benjamin Dove for Fulton Street Entertainment.

Fulton Street will finance and co-produce with Icelandic production company OgFilms. Iceland-based Sena will handle international distribution. The film will shoot in New York City in August.

Written by Fridrik Erlings, Benjamin Dove is the story of a twelve-year-old boy and his friends whose games of knights and heroic deeds get serious when the boys are confronted with life and death choices. Fulton Street’s Erlingur Jack Gudmundsson and Gregory Sherad Martin will produce the film version.

Arbouet recently wrote and directed Fair Market Value, which won Best Ensemble Award at the Bentonville Film Festival. He was previously VP of talent at Lee Daniels Entertainment.
