Korean sales company 9ers Entertainment has clinched Japanese deals on romantic comedy Wedding Scandal and erotic thriller 90 Minutes.

Wedding Scandal has been sold to e-motion/Wako, while 90 Minutes has gone to Only Hearts. 9ers has also sold romantic comedy Never Ending Story to China’s Melting Culture, while Hong Kong’s Sundream has acquired Miss Conspirator, Horny Family and 90 Minutes.

Meanwhile Cambodia’s Westec Media has acquired Wedding Scandal, Never Ending Story, Horny Family and Weird Business. “Cambodia has more multiplexes now and wants to try out Korean product,” said 9ers’ Lee Jeong-eun.

9ers has also picked up two new titles: $30m 3D CGI feature Empire Of The Ants, based on the novel by French writer Bernard Werber, and Rockin’ On Heaven’s Door starring Lee Hong-gi from K-pop band FT Island. Lee plays a pop star who is sentenced to work in a hospice after getting into a fight - and finds himself managing the hospice band.
