Gaga Corporation announced the addition of Hirokazu Kore-eda’s latest film Miracle (Kiseki) to its sales slate at the TIFFCOM market, which kicked off today.

Now in production, Miracle tells the story of two young brothers separated by their parents’ divorce. The construction of a new bullet train connecting their two cities gives them hope of becoming a family once again.

Real-life brothers Koki and Oshiro Maeda star along with previous Kore-eda collaborators Joe Odagiri (Air Doll) and Kiki Kirin (Still Walking).

Kore-eda enjoyed previous international success with child-centered film Nobody Knows, which won the best actor award at Cannes in 2004 for then 14-year-old Yuya Yagira. “It’s always exciting to shoot a film with kids,” stated Kore-eda.

Gaga will release the film domestically late spring or early summer next year.

Also on Gaga’s slate is Into The White Night, sold to Taiwan’s Catchplay just before the market kicked off, Tokyo Island, Swing Me Again and Hanakappa.
