At the 14th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival (PiFan), Jang Cheol Su’s graphic thriller Bedevilled snapped up the top Best of Puchon Award, along with the Fujifilm Eterna Award and Best Actress Award for Seo Yeong Hee.

Formerly an assistant director to Kim Ki-duk on Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter… and Samaritan Girl, Jang Cheol Su also presented Bedevilled at Cannes Critics’ Week earlier this year.

Kim Young Bin, in his first year as PiFan fest director, announced the prizes today (July 23) at the awards ceremony.

The fest continues for two more days during which prize-winners and films that were popular with audiences will be re-screened. These include Gintama: The Movie and 3 Idiots, while Mutant Girls Squad will be screened for the first time.
