After his departure from Studio 18 as head of international operations, Tanuj Garg will soon take over the motion picture business of Balaji Telefilms Ltd as CEO.

Balaji Telefilms is one of the largest producers of television content in India and is making strong strides in the motion picture business having recently made such films as Love, Sex Aur Dhokha and Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai.

Garg will report to Balaji Telefilms Group CEO Puneet Kinra and replaces Vikram Malhotra who moved from Balaji to Studio 18 as COO. Garg’s role will include taking forward Balaji’s production, marketing, and distribution businesses. His previous work experience includes Applause Entertainment, UTV, and Studio 18.
