Rakesh Ranjan Kumar to direct feature on Mahatma Gandhi.

Leading Indian media conglomerate The Times Group has picked up international sales rights to Dear Friend Hitler, a film about Mahatma Gandhi that derives its name from two letters he wrote to Adolf Hitler. The film highlights India’s freedom struggle after being part of the British empire for hundreds of years.

Directed by Rakesh Ranjan Kumar, the film features Raghuvir Yadav, the star of Salaam Bombay! and Peepli Live.

At their EFM event Feb 13, Dr. Anil Sharma, founder and Chairman of Amrapali Group - the parent company of the film’s producer Amrapali Media Vision, presented footage from the film, budgeted over $3m.
