EXCLUSIVE: Chilean comedy Citizen Kramer from Sanford Panitch’s Fox International Productions has become the third biggest local film in history.
Fox International executives confirmed the accolade at the weekend in wake of a $480,000 haul that ensured the film remained in pole position for the third weekend in a row.
Citizen Kramer is well positioned on the eve of the two-month summer vacation and has grossed $3.3m to become the biggest release of 2013 in Chile.
Further new releases this weekend include ’Jeanne Du Barry’, ‘Butterfly Tale’ and ’The Book Of Clarence’.
Studiocanal’s Amy Winehouse biopic scored a £3,853 location average.
The latest ‘Godzilla’ film is now at $437m globally.
