Data released by the National Association Of Theatre Owners (NATO) points to a 5% rise over 2013 in projected attendance for the upcoming convention in Las Vegas.

NATO had not provided actual numbers at time of writing.

“On the heels of two straight record years at the box office, the busy and crowded convention reflects the confidence, energy and diversity of the movie distribution and exhibition community,” said NATO president and CEO John Fithian.

All six of the US majors are scheduled to make presentations at the event. In a special lunch presentation on March 26, director Christopher Nolan will look at his career and the future of filmmaking in the digital age.

CinemaCon runs from March 24-27.

  • Nicola Peltz and Jack Reynor will receive the CinemaCon Rising Stars Of 2014 Award in Las Vegas on March 27. The pair star in Paramount’s June 27 release Transformers: Age Of Extinction.
