Katrina Wood’s international media consultancy MediaXchange is launching the first ever MediaXchange International Finance Market (MIFM) to be held in Los Angeles Oct 30-Nov 1 this year

The three-day event will bring together international and US film producers and film financiers to discuss new projects in the setting of the historic Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena.

MIFM is led by an advisory board including Cassian Elwes, Patrick Russo of The Salter Group, producer Jason Blum, Fox’s Sanford Panitch, John Sloss of Cinetic Media and Michael J Werner of Fortissimo Film Sales.

Each producer and financier attending will take part in an individualized schedule consisting of 20 one-one-one meetings during the three day event.

MIFM is the first ever international film finance market to take place in Los Angeles.

“Every film producer applicant is screened and pre-approved before being accepted,” says Wood. “Financiers will meet with the “Best In Class” producers culled from around the world. The meetings will provide tangible results for both financiers and producers alike.”

“We’re condesing six months worth of meetings into three high impact days,” says Elwes. “For film producers, this is an incredible opportunity to deal directly with the decision makers and possibly get your next project financed.”
