Libonati started work in New York City on Mar 7 as managing director of Principal Communications Group’s new office and reports to PCG managing directors Paul Pflug and Melissa Zukerman.

He arrives from NBCUniversal where he served as vice-president of corporate communications and media relations.

“Joe possesses a unique combination of corporate communications insights and accomplishments as well as an entrepreneurial background that will serve PCG and our clientele very well,” Pflug and Zukerman said.

“Paul and Melissa have built an extraordinary business rooted in client service and an understanding of the media marketplace with its challenges and opportunities,” Libonati added.

Libonati started his career at PMK in New York and moved to the Los Angeles offices in 1997. Two years later he joined I/D Public Relations where he became a vice-president.
