Tandy to assume commercial affairs role primarily across local language productions and will continue to work for Inside Pictures in reduced role.

From February 2013, the former Qwerty and Polygram executive will manage the London-based creative production team with a focus on local language productions, and report directly to president of international for Universal Pictures David Kosse.

Tandy will work closely with Universal’s LA-based executive vice president of worldwide acquisitions, Peter Kujawski, who was appointed in September 2011.

She will continue to work for industry training scheme Inside Pictures in a reduced role.

Prior to joining UPI, Tandy worked as a film consultant. Between 1999-2007 she was co-managing director and co-owner of production outfit Qwerty Films and between 1989-1999 she headed the international public, business and legal affairs of Polygram.

“Jill is one of the most respected executives in the UK and in the international film marketplace,” said Kosse.

“She has a wealth of experience across the industry and will be a terrific addition to our team.”
