The US Vice-President is scheduled to meet representatives from a host of entertainment-related bodies in Washington DC on Thursday [10] in the wake of December’s Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Connecticut.

Biden will sit down with executives from the MPAA, NATO, the DGA and the NAB broadcasters association to discuss the issue of gun violence.

Separately, the Vice-President is expected to meet top brass from the video game industry as well as the NRA – the National Rifle Association.

Biden leads the White House task force on gun control and is due to report his findings to the President on Jan 21.

He reiterated during meetings on Wednesday that President Barack Obama is “determined” to curb gun violence and may use executive orders.
