Mandate Pictures has signed a two-year first-look deal with David Gordon Green, Jody Hill and Danny McBride’s(all pictured) new Rough House Pictures comedy production venture.

Rough House head of production is Matt Reilly (pictured), who is leaving his post of vice-president of production at Warner Bros.

The company takes its name from Green’s first short film entitled Will You Lather My Rough House. Hill, Green and McBride all attended the North Carolina School Of The Arts at the same time.

McBride served as second unit director on Green’s feature debut George Washington and landed a small role on Green’s Sundance 2003 entry All The Real Girls.

Along with Hill and Ben Best, McBride wrote The Foot Fist Way and created with Hill the HBO series East Bound And Down with Hill. Green directed the pilot and final episode.

Green’s film Your Highness starring McBride, James Franco and Natalie Portman recently wrapped production in Northern Ireland and is slated for an October 2010 release through Universal.

Reilly collaborated with Hill and McBride on Observe And Report that Warner Bros released last April.

Green, Hill and McBride are represented by CAA. Reilly is represented by attorney Jason Sloane of Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern. Rob McEntegart and Dan Freedman brokered the deal on behalf of the company.
