Trudie Styler and British producer Celine Rattray (pictured) announced on Tuesday (1) that Styler’s London-based Xingu Films and its key creative will become a part of Maven.

The company’s first UK-based project is Filth, currently in post. James McAvoy, Jim Broadbent, Jamie Bell and Imogen Poots star in the Irvine Welsh adaptation of a corrupt police officer who must solve a brutal murder case. Sierra / Affinity handles international sales.

Maven launched one year ago and its first feature Imogene starring Kristen Wiig, Annette Bening and Matt Dillon is also in post.

The development slate includes Object Of Beauty based on the Steve Martin novel starring Amy Adams as a young art entrepreneur; psychological thriller Face Blind starring Katherine Heigl; Second Act starring Julia Roberts as a woman who has never worked and is forced to take over her husband’s company; and A Fair Marriage starring Sarah Jessica Parker as a designer who suspects her husband of having an affair.

“We are very excited about Maven’s expansion into the UK,” Rattray and Styler said. “With the strategic presence Trudie’s maintained in the UK, it felt like the natural next step to combine Maven and Xingu to create an even stronger footing in both countries.”

Xingu’s development slate, which will carry forward with Maven, includes graphic novel adaptation American Reaper, Western The Outlander and The Harder They Come.
