Directors Deepa Mehta and Mira Nair and Summit Entertainment’s senior vice-president of international distribution Deborah Tellis are among a list of the most influential South Asian female media and entertainment executives compiled by consultancy Korn/Ferry International.

The list includes The Indian Film Company senior vice-president Priti Shahani, The Walt Disney Company (India) director, counsel – India legal affairs Anju Jain Kumar, and Sony Pictures Television’s senior vice-president Superna Kalle.

The women were selected in consultation with the Indian Film Festival Of Los Angeles (IFFLA) and will be honoued at a reception in Hollywood during the festival, which runs from April 20-25.

“The achievements of all the honourees have a continuing impact on the growing success of Indian entertainment throughout the globe and we’re thrilled to spotlight and host these remarkable women during this year’s festival,” IFFLA executive director Christina Marouda said.
