Cold War spy thriller A Lonely Place For Dying will receive a serialised release on the free-to-share online distributor VODO and its partners, including BitTorrent, on July 1, before a theatrical release next January.

Executive produced by Academy Award nominee James Cromwell, who also stars, and directed by first-time director Justin Eugene Evans, the film will be released in five specially-created episodes with the first three episodes sponsored by .TV and Versign, Inc.

VODO’s Jamie King said: “Justin and all the film’s team have created a suspenseful, intense movie that we know our audience are going to love. We’re delighted to be behind this release and to give fans the opportunity to support its forthcoming theatrical release as we deliver it in installments. We fully expect A Lonely Place For Dying will be our most successful release yet.”

A Lonely Place For Dying has been an official selection of 38 film festivals and has been nominated for 45 awards, winning 19.
