Mathilde Rottier gets promotion; Stuart Shaw, Astrid De Berardinis and Alexandra Tullberg join London office as sales directors; outfit inks first multi-title, linear deal in UK.

Miramax today announced the expansion of its global sales team and a licensing deal with UK multichannel provider UKTV. 

Mathilde Rottier has been promoted to vice president, worldwide television, Stuart Shaw joins as director, international sales and marketing, and Astrid De Berardinis and Alexandra Tullberg have also been appointed as directors of sales. All appointments are effective immediately. 

Rottier will be based at Miramax’s headquarters in Santa Monica and will cover select territories worldwide and select digital partners. She was previously vice president, MGM Worldwide TV Group. She also served as executive director at MGM TV Europe in London and Paris. 

Shaw will be responsible for coordinating international sales and marketing activities and will be based at Miramax’s London sales office. He most recently worked for Paramount Home Entertainment as commercial director, APAC, and commercial manager, EMEA. 

De Berardinis will serve European territories including France, Italy, and Spain and will be based at Miramax’s London office. She joins from CBS Studios in Rome, where she was director of sales. 

Tullberg, formerly regional sales manager, Europe for Paramount Pictures in London, will serve European territories including the UK and Nordic region and is also based in London.

Joe Patrick, head of worldwide sales, heads the company’s London office.

Miramax has also secured a licensing deal with UK multichannel provider UKTV. Titles will include The Aviator, Starsky and Hutch and the Kill Bill and Scream franchises.

Miramax’s Danny Goldman, senior vice president and head of sales, Europe, said: “This is the first major, multi-title linear deal for Miramax in the UK and Ireland, and we are very pleased to continue growing Miramax’s direct relationships in the market.”

UKTV, a commercial joint venture between BBC Worldwide and Scripps Networks International, consists of 10 channel brands – Watch, Gold, Dave, Alibi, Yesterday, Blighty, Eden, Home, Really and Good Food – offering a range of programming across entertainment, lifestyle and factual.
