Sebastian Silva’s comedy about friends who take a drug-fuelled trip to the Chilean coast premiered at Sundance last month. Separately, Music Box has acquired César nominee Augustine.

Michael Cera and Gaby Hoffmann star in Crystal Fairy alongside Juan Andrés Silva, José Miguel Silva and Agustín Silva.

Juan de Dios Larraín and Pablo Larraín produced the film, which earned Silva the World Cinema Competition best director award in Park City.

IFC’s Arianna Bocco and UTA Independent Film Group negotiated the deal.

Music Box has picked up US rights from Kinology to Augustine, written and directed by Alice Winocour.

Vincent Lindon, Soko and Chiara Mastroianni star in the examination of the real case story and relationship between the pioneering 19th century French neurologist Dr Jean-Martin Charcot and his star teenage patient.

Augustine premiered in Cannes and Toronto last year and will make its US debut in Rendez Vous With French Cinema in March. Music Box Films plans a spring release.

Steelyard Pictures will handle North American distribution on Leone Marucci’s The Power Of Few with Gaiam Vivendi Entertainment.

The sci-fi action stars Christopher Walken, Christian Slater, Anthony Anderson, Jesse Bradford and Q’orianka Kilcher.

Steelyard will distribute theatrically in limited release on Feb 15. Arclight Film represents international sales rights.
