Lionsgate has set the release date for the Summit Entertainment thriller starring Tom Hardy and Noomi Rapace.

Child 44 will arrive on April 17 2015 in wide release.

The cast includes Joel Kinnaman, Vincent Cassel and Gary Oldman and Jason Clarke from the current number one North American release Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes.

Daniel Espinosa directed the Scott Free Productions and Worldview Entertainment film, which takes place in Stalinist Russia as an exiled member of the secret police defies government forces as he probes a series of murders and seeks to clear his name.
