The company will begin promoting its new catalogue at MIPCOM in October and closed the deal in the wake of Media 8’s ongoing restructure.

The 2,000-plus imported titles include Charlize Theron’s Oscar winning turn in Monster, The Upside Of Anger starring Kevin Costner and Joan Allen, United States Of Leland with Ryan Gosling (pictured), Running Scared with Paul Walker and Vera Farmiga, Man About Town with Ben Affleck and Havoc starring Anne Hathaway and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Screen Media previously handled titles from Media 8 precursor MDP Worldwide Entertainment.

“We’re very excited to be adding the Media 8 titles to our library,” said Screen Media president Joseph Kovacs. “Screen Media has always been a source of quality films for international buyers. The addition of the Media 8 titles to our catalog galvanises our position as a premier supplier that can offer both quality and quantity across all platforms.”

“With Mipcom just a few weeks away, the timing could not be better,” said vp of international sales and acquisitions Michael Dwyer. “Adding titles of this caliber to an already formidable line-up puts us in an enviable position. We anticipate a very busy market.”
