Variance Films has picked up all North American theatrical rights to the musical Guy And Madeline On A ParkBench (pictured) and football documentary After The Cup: Sons Of Sakhnin United.

Damien Chazelle’s Guy And Madeline On A Park Bench has screened at a number of festivals and tells the story of a separated couple who slowly wind their way back to each other. Jason Palmer, Desiree Garcia, and Sandha Khin star.

Variance plans a later summer release in conjunction with the film-makers. New York-based Mangusta Productions will provide the P&A for the theatrical release. DVD, VOD, and international rights remain available.

Christopher Browne’s After The Cup: Sons Of Sakhnin United chronicles the trials and tribulations of Bnei Sakhnin, the Israeli Arab team that became the first from an Arab town to win the Israeli Cup and compete in the UEFA Cup.

Variance will release in theatres on May 21 in New York and roll out a week later in Los Angeles ahead of the World Cup. Nationwide expansion and VOD rollout will follow later in the summer.
