The distributor has announced its worldwide acquisition of Noah Baumbach and Jake Paltrow’s documentary ahead of its Wednesday night world premiere in Venice.

De Palma

The film presents a portrait of Brian De Palma, who will attend the Lido to receive the festival’s Jaeger-LeCoultre Glory To The Filmmaker Award.

A24 plans a 2016 release on De Palma and the documentary will next play the New York Film Festival at the end of September.

Baumbach and Paltrow directed and produced, while Scott Rudin and Eli Bush served as executive producers.

A24 brokered the deal with UTA Independent Film Group. UTA represents Baumbach and Paltrow.
