The recently rebranded distributor has cut a deal with Summerstorm Entertainment following the thriller’s recent world premiere and Golden Raven Award win at Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival.

Nu Image handles international sales on the film from Bernard Rose starring Xavier Samuel, Carrie-Ann Moss, Tony Todd and Danny Huston.

Gabriela Bacher produced for Summerstorm alongside Heidi Jo Markel for Eclectic Pictures, Jennifer Holliday Morrison for Bad Badger and Christian Angermayer and Klemens Hallmann of Summerstorm parent company Film House Germany.

Avi Lerner serves as executive producer on the modern-day adaptation set in Los Angeles where an artificial beast is left for dead by the married scientists that created him.

Jay Cohen at Gersh brokered the deal on behalf of the filmmakers with Alchemy vice-president of acquisitions Steve Break.

Film House Germany’s slate includes Jalmari Helander’s Big Game starring Samuel L Jackson and The Devil’s Violinist, which Rose also directed
