Fox International’s box office titan has amassed a staggering $1.78bn and should cross $1.8bn over the next few days as it seeks to make hat while the sun shines ahead of Disney’s wide launch of Alice In Wonderland next weekend.

Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief stands at $69.1m and arrives in 13 territories led by Japan and Sweden on February 26, while Tooth Fairy has reached $36.7m and still has 22 territories to go.

Fox International Productions’ Chinese-language Hot Summer Days has raced to $11.8m from the early stages of release and opens this weekend in Singapore, Taiwan and Malaysia. Alvin And The Chipmunks stands at $216.2m and opens in Thailand.

Shutter Island has already taken $8.1m following last weekend’s limited international launch and PPI opens Martin Scorsese’s haunting mystery in eight territories, among them France on February 24 and Taiwan on February 27.

The Lovely Bones has grossed $27.6m to date and opens in 12 new territories, among them Russia and South Korea on February 25 and Spain the following day.

Capitalism: A Love Story and The Crazies both launch in the UK on February 26. Up In The Air has taken $65.8m so far and touches down in five, among them Hong Kong on February 25.

UPI’s The Wolfman has grossed $53.5m thus far and will sink its claws into six new markets this weekend including Russia on February 25.

Couples Retreat has amassed $60.5m and opens in France on February 24. 9 arrives in Germany on February 25. It’s Complicated launches in four territories including Brazil on February 26.

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International reports The Princess And The Frog has amassed $136m and will open this weekend in Israel. The company is expected to own next weekend, when it launches Alice In Wonderland day-and-date with North America in approximately 41 territories.

Warner Bros Pictures International launches Blind Side starring Oscar nominee Sandra Bullock in its first major market of Australia this weekend. Latest figures put Sherlock Holmes on $269m, Valentine’s Day on $76.3m and Invictus on $64.9m.

Sony Pictures Releasing International opens the CBS Films drama Extraordinary Measures in the UK on February 26, and has scheduled launches for An Education in Spain and Nine in Mexico on the same day.
