Sierra/Affinity will kick off pre-sales in Berlin next month on Joel Edgerton’s directorial debut thriller as part of its exclusive deal to license and service Blumhouse International (BHI) films not distributed via Universal Pictures International.

Edgerton (pictured) wrote the screenplay and will star alongside Jason Bateman and Rebecca Hall. Rebecca Yeldham and Jason Blum are producing the story, which explores whether bygones can ever truly be bygones and will open in the US through STX Entertainment.

Nick Meyer’s Sierra/Affinity has close ties with the Universal fold and handles international sales on select titles from the Focus Features slate.

BHI launched in 2013 with an international distribution and servicing deal with IM Global.

That deal expired amicably at the end of 2014 after the parties collaborated on Sinister 2 and Home, among others.

“Blumhouse International is continuing to work with IM Global on potential future franchises like Viral and Incarnate,” a BHI spokesperson said.
