Buyers jump on board for Lindholm's A Hijacking

Tobias Lindholm’s A Hijacking is already stirring sales before its first Toronto public screening today. A-Film has taken for Benelux and Atnine Film for Korea. TrustNordisk is also reporting “ongoing negotiations in a number of territories.”

Pilou Asbaek, who also starred in Lindholm’s hit prison drama R, stars alongside Soren Malling and Dar Salim. The story is about seaman on a cargo ship taken hostage by pirates in the Indian Ocean. The CEO of the shipping company has to negotiate with the Somali pirates.

The film got a strong reception in Venice, where it played in the Orizzonti section.

Producers are Tomas Radoor and René Ezra for Nordisk Film with support from The Danish Film Institute, DR and Nordic Film and TV Fund.

Nordisk will release domestically on Sept 20.
