The Cinema Guild announced on Thursday [21] that it has acquired DVD, digital, TV and non-theatrical rights to three French titles from fledgling Distrib Films.

The films, Becoming Traviata, The Invisible Ones and Our Children [pictured], will release on home video, television, Cable VoD and all other digital platforms later this year following a theatrical release by Distrib Films via Michael Tuckman of mTuckman Media.

Currently only Becoming Traviata has a definitive theatrical release date with a May premiere scheduled at Film Forum in New York.

Philippe Béziat’s film focuses on the life of French opera singer Natalie Dessay.

Sebastien Lifshitz’s documentary The Invisible Ones (Les Invisibles) explores the hardship of gay men and women in conservative France of years past and played in official selection at Cannes last summer.

Our Children is a family drama directed by Joachim Lafosse that stars Tahar Rahim and Émilie Dequenne, who won the Un Certain Regard best actress prize at Cannes 2012.

Ryan Krivoshey of The Cinema Guild brokered the deal with François Scippa-Kohn from Distrib Films.
