Circus Road Films has traditionally provided strategic counsel to filmmakers and producer’s sales rep services but now the company has moved into distribution.
New arm Diggit Pictures launched on November 4 by president and CEO Glen Reynolds and will specialise in day-and-date VOD releases. Alex Nohe joins as head of theatrical services.
The venture starts with Live At The Foxes Den, which arrives in theatres on December 6 in 20 markets. Gravitas Ventures will simultaneously release the film on VOD platforms and Green Apple Entertainment will release on DVD in February.
“Diggit Pictures was formed to fill a void and offer a theatrical path to indie filmmakers seeking a simultaneous, day-and-date release with VOD, which has proven to be a uniquely successful strategy in today’s marketplace,” said Reynolds.
“Circus Road will continue to provide strategic counsel to filmmakers requiring a producer’s representation in North America. We are excited to announce this new venture and to welcome the expertise of Alex Nohe to our team.”
