Content has picked up worldwide rights to the rom-com Rising Star and will kick off pre-sales in Berlin.

Gary Ploski and Emily Morse star in the story overworked insurance adjuster who must choose between his job and his passion after he accidentally meets his online love interest.

Marty Lang wrote the screenplay and makes his feature directorial debut. The cast includes Michael Barra, Greg Nutcher, Luz Ramos, Julia Frisoli and Gary Craig.

The film premiered at the Seattle True Independent Film Festival in May last year and won best premiere and best on-screen romance.

Lang produced with Matthew Giovannucci and Ploski, while Rahul Patel served as executive producer.

Content negotiated the deal with representatives Jon Gursha and Peter Greene of Film Marketing Services.
