Coproduction Office does more deals on Le Quattro Volte
Deals have been done with UK, Taiwan, Former Yugoslavia and Iran.
Philippe Bober’s Coproduction Office has closed a slew of deals on Directors Fortnight buzz title Le Quattro
Volte. Italian director Michelangelo Frammartino’s film won the Europa Cinemas Label and received enthusiastic reviews across the trade and consumer press.
Now, distribution has been secured in the UK (New Wave), Taiwan (Silmware), Former Yugoslavia (Megacom), and Iran (IRIB Media Group).
These deals follow on from earlier sales to Belgium (Lumière), the Netherlands (Filmmuseum), and Portugal (Atalanta Filmes). Distributors in France and Germany are also reportedly circling the film
The film is about an old goatherder, living his last days in a quiet medieval village perched high on the hills of Calabria, at the southernmost tip of Italy.
It was produced by Italy’s Vivo film in co-production with Essential Filmproduktion (Germany), Invisibile Film (Italy), and ventura film (Switzerland).
