Joel Silver’s Dark Castle Home Entertainment and Courtney Solomon’s After Dark Films will release an initial wave of five action films under the label After Dark Action.

The films will go out as a commercial festival of sorts and launch on VoD on May 11, similar to the way Solomon showcased horror titles through After Dark’s 8 Films To Die For model.

Titles include Transit starring Jim Caviezel, Dragon Eyes with Jean Claude Van Damme and Stash House starring Dolph Lundgren.

  • Anchor Bay will release Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa’s comedy Mac And Devin Go To High School in an all-rights deal excluding SVoD for the US, Australia and New Zealand.
  • Oscilloscope Laboratories will distribute Shut Up And Play The Hits in the summer. The Sundance premiere charts the final days of cult band LCD Soundsystem.
