EXCLUSIVE: Genre sales outfit adds UK doc in push for diversified slate; cuts international deals on genre lineup.

Genre sales specialist Devilworks has picked up world rights to UK road-trip documentary Follow the Money, the first acquisition in the company’s push to secure more documentaries.

Follow the Money, which launched at The London Screenings in June, follows the journey of directors John Hardwick and Ben Unwin and journalist Steve Boggan as they follow a ten dollar bill across America.

Devilworks president Samantha Richardson said: “This is an exciting expansion. Follow the Money is a first for us. We will be at MIPCOM in October, launching a new line up of documentaries and thrilling genre films”.

Devilworks recently concluded deals on a host of genre titles including Devil May Call, starring Tyler Mane, to Level Film in Canada; Afterimages to MovieCloud for Taiwan and Company L for Korea; The Vineyard to Lighthouse Entertainment for Germany, Austria and Switzerland; Shopping Tour to Terracotta Distribution for UK and Ireland; Time Lapse to Australia and New Zealand with Bounty and The Maid’s Room to Spain with Atresmedia Cine.
