Heading into Comic-Con the hit factory Marvel Studios has dated five wide releases through Disney spanning summers 2017 to 2019 — although the identity of each remains a mystery.

Disney will release Marvel Studios’ Guardians Of The Galaxy (pictured) on August 1.

Coming up in 2015 are Avengers: Age Of Ultron, kicking off what is expected to be a massive summer on May 1, while Ant-Man remains on the schedule for July 17, 2015, despite the recent departure of Edgar Wright.

Captain America 3 is set for May 6, 2016, the same year that The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is scheduled to arrive.

Beyond that the new schedule kicks in when the films will come in thick and fast — at a rate of two a year in 2017 and 2018.

One can speculate with some confidence about a third Avengers film, Scott Derrickson’s Doctor Strange adaptation and another Thor instalment.

If Guardians Of The Galaxy is a hit this summer it would seem likely that a sequel occupy one of the mystery slots.
