ro*co films educational, the educational documentary distribution arm of ro*co films, will handle the non-theatrical release of How To Survive A Plague [pictured] and A Place At The Table.

Kristi Jacobson and Lori Silverbush directed Participant Media’s A Place At The Table, which examines hunger in the US. Ro*co will distribute on May 1, following the Mar 1 day-and-date theatrical and digital release through Magnolia Pictures.

Sundance Select’s How To Survive A Plague earned a best Oscar nomination last week and focuses on AIDS activism.

·      Zeitgeist Films has acquired Margarethe Von Trotta’s Hannah Arendt starring Barbara Sukowa from Match Factory. Zeitgeist distributed von Trotta’s previous film Vision and will open Hannah Arendt at Film Forum on May 29 followed by nationwide release.  

·      Factory 25 has taken worldwide rights to Matt Boyd’s A Rubberband Is An Unlikely Instrument. The film is scheduled to premiere theatrically in New York on Feb 8 followed by nationwide roll-out. Factory 25 will orchestrate a digital release on Apr 23 and non-theatrical screenings through late spring.
