A second big weekend awaits Summit International’s The Twilight Saga: Eclipse as it looks to build on its sizeable imprint from last week.

The vampire tale grossed $104.2m from its first six days in 24 markets and expands into a further 22 this weekend.

Highlights are expected to come from the UK, France, South Korea and French-speaking Switzerland.

20th Century Fox International opens Predators day-and-date with the US this week in 22 markets, including the UK, Germany, Japan, Australia, Russia and Taiwan.

Post Grad opens in France and Italy. Latest tallies put Knight And Day on $26.8m, while The A-Team has grossed $55.6m and Marmaduke stands at $16.5m. Avatar has reached $1.987bn.

Toy Story 3 opens in Italy and Japan this weekend and has raced to $172.7m through Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International.

Beyond that, the film is set to open in France on July 14, the UK on July 19, Spain on July 23, Germany on July 29, and South Korea on August 5.

Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time has grossed $233.9m while Alice In Wonderland stands at $388.7m.

Universal/UPI’s animation Despicable Me opens day-and-date with North America in four territories, among them Russia and Singapore on July 8. MRC’s The Invention Of Lying opens in Germany on July 8.

Paramount//PPI’s Shrek Forever After gets another big push after its $41m haul last weekend. The animation stands at $153.2m and arrives in around 18 territories including Sweden on July 7, the Netherlands, Argentina and German-speaking Switzerland on July 8, and Spain and Brazil on July 9. The Last Airbender opens in Russia on July 8 and Taiwan on July 9.

Sony Pictures Releasing International’s The Karate Kid stands at $31.9m and opens in Mexico, Australia and New Zealand. The Bounty Hunter touches down in Japan.
