Wide’s indie distribution collective Eye On Films (EoF) continues to see healthy growth of its slate, distribution activity and number of partners.

The label has grown to eleven films after adding Çagla Zencirci & Guillaume Giovanetti’s France-Pakistan co-production Noor and Estelle Larrivaz’ debut Beast Paradise, both of which screened in the market.

EoF has recently closed deals for titles on its slate including Night # 1 for Spain (Aquelarre), Russia (Russian Report) and France (Fondivina); Mourning for France (KMBO), Hungary (Anjou Lafayette); Fear of Falling for France (Kanibal Film Distribution); Red Heart for France (Kanibal Film Distribution); First Rasta to Australia (Curious Films); Policeman to Australia (Curious Films), and Mole to France (Fondivina).

The Media Mundus-backed organisation currently comprises 70 festival and distributors. EoF and Wide Management managing director Loic Magneron expects that number to rise to 90 by the end of the market: “We recently entered into a great partnership with Dailymotion where we hosted the premiere of Red Heart, which was viewed by more than 5,000 professionals,” he told Screen. “The film then went on to perform very well at the Vincennes Film Festival where it picked up the audience and critics award. We hope to do more partnerships like this with European films.”

The label’s first anniversary networking breakfast will take place this morning between 9-11am at the Gropius Mirror Restaurant.
