Cinema City International affiliate Forum Film to handle distrbution of Disney features in Romania.

Forum Film Romania has taken over distribution of Disney pictures in the country ahead of the March 5 release of Alice In Wonderland. It takes over from Audio Visual Romania.

The company, a recently-established affiliate of Cinema City International, will release Alice In Wonderland in 3D and Imax, and will handle releases of the Prince Of Persia and Toy Story 3.

Mooky Greidinger, Cinema City International chief executive, said: “We are proud and honoured to become Disney’s distributor in Romania and by that extend our strategic relations with the studio. The group will bring it’s know-how and experience gained in other markets to Romania. We hope that together with a strong local team we will generate great results.”

Cinema City affiliates also working under the Forum Film umbrella also handle Disney in four other territories – Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland and Israel. Forum Film Israel has worked with Disney for more than 50 years. Cinema City International is the largest multiplex cinema operator in Central and Eastern Europe and in Israel, operating 70 multiplexes with 679 screens in six countries. The company operates 57 screens in Romania.
