Italian sales agent Intra Movies has picked up worldwide rights to Giorgio Diritti’s The Man Who Will Come (L’uomo Che Verra), which screens in competition at the fourth edition of the International Rome Film Festival.

The film, about the village of Marzabotto that was the site of an infamous Nazi Massacre in 1944, was shot in local dialect and stars Alba Rohrwacher, Maya Sansa and Claudio Casadio. The film was supported by Rome’s New Cinema Network co production market in 2006.

Intra Movies is also representing Donatella Maiorca’s Sea Purple (Viola Di Mare), a 19th century lesbian love story set in Sicily, which is also in Rome’s main competition. The two in competition films will also have screenings in the Italian Screenings for industry only on October 16 and 17.
