Juan Jose Campanella’s The Secret In Their Eyes has been sold to 10 territories, including the UK, Australia, France and Brazil, off the back of its positive response at Toronto and San Sebastian.

Latido Films has sold Campanella’s Spanish-Argentinian romantic crime drama, starring Ricardo Darin, to Metrodome for the UK, Rialto (Australia), Pretty Pictures (France), Europa Filmes (Brazil), Multi Cines (Ecuador), Orlando (Israel), Scandinavia (Sandro Metronome), Gussi Films (Mexico) and IF (Qatar, Malaysia).

“We are also very close to signing a deal for the US on Secret In Their Eyes,” confirmed Max Saidel, head of Latido Films.

The Spanish sales agent has also sold Sex, Party & Lies to Shoval for Israel, Scheng Chi for Taiwan, and TV rights to SBS for Australia, who have also picked up Salvador Garcia Ruiz’ drama Paper Castles, Andres Wood’s The Good Life and Arantxa Aguirre’s documentary Bejart: The Show Must Go On.

Spanish producer/director Gerardo Herrero’s thriller Night Runner, starring Leonardo Sbaraglia and currently in post production, has been picked up by Alta Films for release in Spain early next year.
